This project represents a new 64,000-square foot building to provide best-in-class educational environments for healthcare, rehabilitation, and human services training applications. The building program includes general classrooms, a testing center, nursing and physical therapy laboratories, simulation laboratories, offices, and support spaces. Open student collaboration spaces are located on each floor and provide dynamic views to the exterior.
An in-depth analysis of the site context was performed to determine opportunities and constraints, delineate important spatial relationships, and understand the scale, rhythm, and materials of the place. The goal of the studies was to understand the “DNA” of the place and create a building that fit within the campus “family”.
